You can do this!

Hey, I just thought that I would tell all of you young mothers out there that you need to believe in yourself and put in the effort to follow your dreams. I am 22 years old and have been a mom for the past 4 years. I have two children with the same father but we are no longer together as he couldn't give me or the kids the time or respect that we deserve. We are still friends but have realized that we are cannot be together and that is cool. He sees them whenever he wants but hasn't really grown up yet.

I just started school again and am super pumped about following my dream to be a chef. It has taken me a few years to get here but I have had the support of my mom all along. She has loved me even when I messed up and I can't thank her enough for what she has done for me.

The best advice that I can give to new moms is to make sure that you surround yourself with good people and that you put your kids first. Do something with your life to make them proud. Dreams really can happen if you work hard for them.

Its not to late to change your direction. Think positive and you can do whatever you want. It doesnt matter that you are a young mom.

Ciao for now!

Hi Sarah. Thank you for your post. I agree with you that following your dreams are important and am glad that you have a mom who has supported you. Welcome to The Nest! I look forward to your contributions. Let us know how school is going and what types of things that you are learning. Maybe you can post a recipe or two once you get going? Good luck!
